LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. (AP) Lucky J Lane won the $57,799 feature by a nose on closing day of the meet Sunday at Los Alamitos, snapping a seven-race skid.
Ridden by Martin Garcia, Lucky J Lane ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.85 and paid $13.20, $7.80 and $5 for his first win this year.
Garcia lost his whip with about an eighth of a mile to go.
Pretentious returned $9.80 and $5.40, while 24-1 shot Indygo Holiday was another half-length back in third and paid $7.20.

Tough It Out, the 3-2 favorite, sixth in the eight-horse field.
Lucky J Lane has five wins in 22 career starts and earnings of $272,170.
