After a four-game losing streak to end the regular season, there would be no soft landing for Arizona.
The Wildcats crashed with a thud in the Alamo Bowl, losing 36-10 to Oklahoma State on Wednesday night, defeated by a superior team and burying themselves under an avalanche of self-inflicted mistakes.
Arizona football ... welcome to a lovely offseason.
It will be nine months of teeth-gnashing, of what ifs, of "Is Mike Stoops the right coach to take the team to the next level?"
It will be a looooong offseason.
Just a couple of months ago, all things seemed possible for this group of Wildcats and the program in general. The Wildcats were 7-1 and had their eyes on big prizes
