The Detroit Lions confirmed Thursday that they have signed their first-round draft pick, offensive guard Laken Tomlinson, to a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth year.
The deal, which is worth around $8 million based on the rookie wage scale, comes on the final day of the Lions' 10 voluntary OTA practices.
Tomlinson, the 28th pick overall coming out of Duke, has been participating throughout the team's offseason program despite previously not being signed. He is expected to start at left guard although he'll likely be pushed by veteran Manny Ramirez for the job.
Tomlinson was the last of the Lions' seven draft picks to reach an agreement. The team has a three-day mandatory mini-camp scheduled for next week.
