ARLINGTON, Texas -- Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley is officially inactive for Sunday's playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Fairley, who returned to practice last week on a limited basis, will miss his ninth consecutive game because of a knee injury.

The Lions also officially confirmed that rookie Travis Swanson will start at right guard in place of Larry Warford, who is out with a knee injury.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, will be without right tackle Doug Free (ankle).
