LOS ANGELES -- During this time last season, rapper Lil Wayne expressed his love for the NBA's San Antonio Spurs with a tweet that included "Go Spurs!"

The tweet was out of spite after he claimed he was kicked out of Game 3 of the Spurs Western Conference finals matchup at Oklahoma City.

Perhaps, over time, he's really become fond of the Spurs.

On Friday night during Game 3 of the Spurs' first-round matchup with the Lakers at Staples Center, Lil Wayne was spotted sitting courtside next to the Spurs bench.

By the end of the third quarter, he was gone.

The Grammy-award winning rapper attends his fair share of NBA games and has had a few run-ins at them as well.

Earlier this season, Wayne was in Miami for the Heat's regular-season game against the Lakers.

He and Heat guard Dwyane Wade were reportedly involved in a profanity-laced exchange of words before Wayne tweeted he'd been kicked out of American Airlines Arena.

He later retracted that by saying he left the game early.

However, in that same tweet, Wayne said he was rooting for the Lakers at the game because "dats my team."

At a party during All Star Weekend in Houston, the rapper hopped on the mic and dissed the Heat and their superstars.

However, all of his relationships in the Association aren't damaged.

When the rapper was hospitalized in Los Angeles last month, Clippers point guard Chris Paul was among those to visit him.
