TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper ruled defenseman Jason Garrison and goaltender Ben Bishop out for Tuesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Amalie Arena, though they could come back when the team returns from its holiday break Saturday.

Garrison (undisclosed) and Bishop (lower body) are both considered day-to-day. Bishop, who's 16-6-2 with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage, has missed three games since sustaining the injury on Dec. 15 in a loss to the Penguins. Meanwhile, Garrison appeared in Tampa Bay's most recent game against the New York Islanders last Saturday with 11:47 of ice time. Cooper said there's a ''decent chance'' Garrison returns Saturday.

''Potentially back after the break,'' Cooper said of both players. ''Definitely out tonight.''
