The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired goaltender Cedrick Desjardins from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for goaltender Dustin Tokarski, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.

Desjardins, 27, has appeared in 22 games this season with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, compiling a record of 7-13-2 with a 2.94 goals-against average and .905 save percentage. Desjardins has also played in 66 career ECHL games, all with the Cincinnati Cyclones, posting a 40-23-3 record with a .908 save percentage. During the 2008 ECHL playoffs he was named the finals MVP and won the Kelly Cup. Desjardins was also named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team in 2007.
