Lightning strikes Great American Ball Park startling players & umpires

Severe weather wreaked some havoc on Cincinnati sporting events Saturday night.

At Great American Ball Park, lightning hit the stadium, scaring the players and umpires on the field, as well as fans in the stands.

The game was delayed for nearly two hours before resuming at 8:50 p.m.

Over at Nippert Stadium, the Cincinnati Bearcats' season opener was also delayed an hour and 45 minutes due to lightning in the area.
