TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning made qualifying offers to wingers J.T. Brown and Dan Sexton and defenseman Mark Barberio on Monday morning.
The Lightning are not making qualifying offers to left wing Alex Hutchings, defenseman Brendan Mikkelson and left wing Benoit Pouliot.
The deadline for NHL clubs to issue offers is Tuesday. By issuing qualifying offers to Brown, Sexton and Barberio, the Lightning are given the right of the first refusal or draft choice compensation should the player sign an offer sheet with another NHL club.
