NEW YORK (AP) Life in Shambles held off heavily favored Peter Island by a neck on Thursday in the $67,000 allowance feature for 3-year-olds at Aqueduct.
It was the second straight win for the gray gelding trained by Christophe Clement and ridden by Jose Lezcano. The time was 1:36.20 for the mile on the fast track.
Life in Shambles paid $15.40, $6.20 and $4.20. Peter Island, the 4-5 choice, returned $2.90 and $2.40 while Pass the Coffee paid $3.80 to show.
