LeBron: 'No idea' on plans beyond 2013-14 season

When asked where he might play following the 2013-14 NBA season, Miami Heat star LeBron James gave an understandable answer.

“I’m a winner; I want to win,” James said in an exclusive interview with FOX Sports Live’s Bill Reiter on Tuesday night. “I’m in a position right now where that’s all I think about. I’m very comfortable in my surroundings.

“I love my teammates, I love the organization in Miami. So I like where I am right now.”

James is coming off his second title with the Heat and fourth overall league MVP award. He can opt of his contract following the season. He gave no clues about his plans -- or if he even has any.

“I have no idea,” he said when asked where he might sign next. "I haven’t even begun to think about that. My focus right now is trying to win three championships.”

James, who wore a hat that read "Akron" for his interview, joined Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Heat following a much-publicized departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2010 -- a move announced via a special nationally televised show.

The decision and program drew the ire of Cavs fans and critics nationwide, but James has said he learned from the experience.

“I’ve changed,” he said. “I’ve grown as a basketball player and as a man. When you’ve made mistakes, or done something that wasn’t the best choice to make … it’s how you come back from adversity, those pitfalls, that define who you are as a man.”

He added he’s “not sure” if Cavs fans have forgiven him.

“I know last time I played in Cleveland, a kid ran out on the floor who wanted a hug before arena security got there,” a smiling James told Reiter. “But we can’t sit here and ask everyone in Cleveland how they feel about LeBron James. Right now, who I am today, I’m in a good place.”

As for personal goals, James said he hopes to be remembered as the greatest player ever when he retires. He listed his current top three all-time players as Michael Jordan, Julius “Dr. J” Erving and Larry Bird, before pausing to ask, “Can I add a fourth?” He did: Magic Johnson.

“I want to be the greatest of all time,” he said. “That’s my goal. When I hang up my jersey, whatever arena it’s in, you guys can say, ‘He made a mark on this game.’”
