LeBron James stirred up Ohio State fans on Saturday by declaring he will always be a Buckeye. That he didn't actually go to OSU is a minor detail.

Despite the fact that James did not go to Ohio State, or any college for that matter, he is embracing his new-found Buckeye status. He even went as far as referring to last night's win over Wisconsin as a "great team win" on his Instagram account.

LeBron was on-hand Saturday for a pregame pep-rally, where he spoke to over 30,000 screaming Buckeye fans.

There had been some hype about James delivering a pregame speech to the football team. That didn’t happen, but he did show up just long enough to make a bunch of Buckeyes feel happy about a hypothetical decision from 10 years ago.

“I say this all the time: If I would have had one year of college, I would have ended up here in Columbus, Ohio,” he said. “Wherever I go in the world … I will always rock Ohio State colors.”
