Larger than life: 10-story LeBron banner unveiled in Cleveland

CLEVELAND -- LeBron James is back.

A gigantic LeBron James banner on the Sherwin-Williams building in downtown Cleveland is back, too.

Thursday night's Cleveland Cavaliers season opener -- James' first in-season game with the team since spring 2010 -- was preceded by a grand dropping of sorts, the official unveiling of a new Nike banner that shows James greeting the crowd inside nearby Quicken Loans Arena.

The word "Cleveland" is across his nameplate. Nike's signature swoosh sits in the top right corner.

It was put in the same spot -- between the arena and Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert's Horseshoe Casino -- on the Sherwin-Williams building that the James/Nike "We Are All Witnesses" banner hung before he departed in 2010 for the Miami Heat. That banner was removed shortly after he left in July 2010.

The banner covers 10 stories of the building and weighs about 2,600 pounds. Crews were still working atop it Thursday afternoon as a steady stream of fans stopped to take pictures.

The picture on the banner depicts James doing his signature chalk toss, which James was set to bring back for Thursday night's game.
