Lamb, Blair earn minor-league honors for June
PHOENIX -- Double-A Mobile infielder Jake Lamb and Single-A Visalia right-hander Aaron Blair are the Diamondbacks' Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month for June.
Lamb, 23, hit .368 (35 for 95) with 11 doubles, 4 triples, 4 home runs, 27 RBI and 20 runs scored in 25 games in June. He was named to the Southern League All-Star Team as the South Division's starting third baseman and went 1 for 3 with 1 run scored. He was the team's sixth-round draft choice in 2012 out of the University of Washington.
Blair, 22, went 3-0 with a 3.06 ERA in five starts in June. He was a Competitive Balance Round A selection in the 2013 draft out of Marshall and entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the team's fifth-best minor-league prospect.
