Kyle Busch Dominates NNS Race At Darlington
Kyle Busch proved he was the class of the field Friday night at Darlington Raceway, leading 107 of the 147 laps en route to his fifth NASCAR Nationwide Series win of the season.
Busch made quick work of Joey Logano with 18 to go and cruised to his 56th series win, which leads all drivers.
"It starts with having a really good race car," Busch said. "We unloaded really well and were fast off the truck."
The same could be said for all four cars out of the Joe Gibbs Racing stable as they locked up four of the top five positions in Friday's VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 race.
Elliott Sadler pushed hard for the win, but was forced to settle for second. Brian Vickers finished third with Joey Logano - former JGR driver, now with Penske Racing - and Matt Kenseth rounding out the top five.
"That Kyle Busch is pretty good," Sadler said. "I was trying to chase him down there. We just needed a little more for the 54."
Pretty good, indeed. Busch qualified third for Saturday night's Southern 500 and will be going for his third sweep of the season. Watch Live on FOX at 6p ET to see if he can get it done.
