Kobe Bryant took a trip to Germany this past week to get another Orthokine treatment on his right knee.
The procedure involves Bryant's blood being drawn, spun in a centrifuge and reinjected into the knee, with the goal of reducing inflammation.
Bryant first underwent the procedure in 2011. On Monday night, Bryant posted a picture from Germany on Instagram.
The Lakers have played two preseason games without Bryant, who still doesn't have a true timeline for his recovery from an Achilles tear in April.
The initial hope was that Bryant would return within six to nine months after surgery, which would be a range from mid-October to mid-January.
The odds seem long that Bryant will make the Oct. 29 season opener against the Clippers, but some point in November may not be out of the question.
Bryant is, however, expected to rejoin the Lakers before their exhibition game Thursday night in Las Vegas against the Sacramento Kings.
