Kobayashi to devour an entire turkey

Legendary scoffer Takeru "The Tsunami" Kobayashi will forgo his usual fare of pizza and hot dogs and instead down an entire turkey as he celebrates his first Thanksgiving in the U.S., TMZ reported Wednesday.

Kobayashi, 32 — a six-time champion of Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest — will spend the holiday at a friend's home where he will be guaranteed a turkey of his own, a rep for the Japanese eater told the celebrity website.

He is “excited to gobble up" the turkey, his rep added.

Kobayashi will no doubt be giving thanks for escaping punishment after his arrest at the July 4th hot-dog eating competition in Coney Island.

He was taken into custody after he allegedly tried to rush the stage at the event. He was accused of resisting arrest, trespassing and obstructing governmental administration.

In August, a Brooklyn judge agreed to let Kobayashi off without further punishment so long as the New York-based eating champ stays out of trouble for six months.
