Kitten's Point wins $75,000 Astra Stakes at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Kitten's Point rallied in the final furlong to win the $75,000 Astra Stakes for older fillies and mares by 1 1/2 lengths Sunday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Flavien Prat, Kitten's Point ran 1 1/2 miles on the turf in 2:26.61 and paid $10.60, $4.60 and $3.20. She was last early in the field of nine.

Lady Pimpernel returned $2.80 and $2.20, while Lady of Gold was another a head back in third and paid $2.60 to show.

The winner and third-place finisher are trained by Graham Motion.

The victory, worth $47,700, increased Kitten's Point's career earnings to $328,665, with four wins in 12 starts.
