"I'm just trying to do everything I can to help turn the season around," McCann said. "I always want to get out there and make something happen."
"He changed the whole game," Kitna said. "He turned it on its side."
The Cowboys had just given up a safety on their previous possession when they were trapped close to their own goal line.
"He's such an aware football player," Garrett said. "I think he just had it in his mind that if that happens again he's going to take advantage of it."
McCann, an undrafted free agent out of SMU, went through training camp with the Cowboys but was cut just before the season started. He was picked up by the Ravens and cut again before the Cowboys placed him on their practice squad on Sept. 17.
He was activated three weeks ago and in that time has made two momentous plays
