Kirk Cousins is the latest NFL player to show love for Creed's music
The band Creed is second only to Nickelback when it comes to commercially successful but widely detested musical groups.
A lot of music critics and regular folks dismissed their act, their spiritual messages and "alterna-grunge" sound. Here's one of the few Urban Dictionary definitions for Creed that I can publish: "An [expletive] 90's rock band that everyone listened to their music back then, but no one would ever admit it now."
I'm listening to Creed right now to fully embrace this mood and I'll readily admit that I owned their album My Own Prison at one time. That said, it's kind of surprising they have a greatest hits album, having produced just four full albums.
Today the @Creed Greatest Hits album was played during the team lift.

Kirk Cousins, creating his own prison.
You may recall last year, the NFC Champion Carolina Panthers made "Creedbombing" a thing. Via the Charlotte Observer's Jonathan Jones, here's how that worked:
A couple examples:
Lead singer Scott Stapp loves it, by the way. Sells more albums, right? And it doesn't seem that the Panthers are degrading the band.
Now let's go to the AFC and check out New York Jets backup quarterback Bryce Petty singing his favorite karaoke song:
So, Creed may be having a moment, or maybe Creed is coming Full Circle -- the name of their 2009 album!
We'll keep an eye out for more NFL players appreciating Creed's brilliance. Don't pretend you don't love them too.
