Kipnis jokes with Odor after hard slide

Published Nov. 15, 2016 1:42 p.m. ET

There wasn't too much smiling on the Tribe's part during Thursday night's one-sided affair, but Jason Kipnis couldn't help himself after a play in the fifth inning.

On a hard hit ground ball, the Indians were looking to double up Jonathan Lucroy when Rangers' second baseman Rougned Odor came flying into the bag.

Kipnis was able to fire the ball to first to complete the twin killer, and after the play, he jokingly put his fists up as if he and Odor were going to duke it out.

His prank, of course, was referring to the altercation the 22-year-old had earlier this season with Toronto slugger Jose Bautista.

This time around, there were only smiles and no punches thrown.
