Scrivens, who is from Spurce Grove, roughly 20 miles from Edmonton, went 7-5-4 with three shutouts and a .931 save percentage with the Kings, but became expendable after the return of Jonathan Quick and the emergence of Martin Jones, who has impressed in his rookie season.

Jones, 24, posted an 8-3-0 record with three shutouts and a .950 save percentage and 1.41 goals-against average, and was named Co-Rookie of the Month in December. Jones also tied an NHL record after winning the first eight games of his NHL career.
