Kilpatrick a favorite in sportswriters' All-America picks
While The Associated Press has not yet released its annual first, second and third team All-America lists, a number of sports outlets have put together their selections and given Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick a lot of love.
NBC Sports' College Basketball Talk, Bleacher Report and the Sporting News all picked Kilpatrick as a first-team All-American.
Bleacher Report gushes about Kilpatrick saying:
"With 2,092 career points, Sean Kilpatrick will be remembered as one of the best players in Cincinnati history. And after leading the Bearcats to a share of the AAC title, he's finally getting the recognition he's long deserved on the national level, too."
Kilpatrick is averaging 20.9 ppg and 4.3 rpg in his senior season.
Judging by these selections, it's a good bet to predict that Kilpatrick will be rewarded when the AP announces its official All-America teams.
His Bearcats start AAC tournament play Thursday as the top seed.
