While racing is a major focus on this Memorial Day weekend, one of the biggest reasons fans and drivers alike are able to enjoy what they love is the sacrifice of our military personnel.

NASCAR is a sport rooted in patriotism, a love of country and military, something former champion Brad Keselowski understands quite well.

Next week, Keselowski is partnering with luxury jeweler David Yurman for a charitable event at South Park Mall to support Charlotte native and Purple Heart Recipient Jacob Lerner.

The event, which will take place Wed., May 28 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., will mark the launch of the David Yurman Frontier Collection, but will also go to raise funds for Lerner, who is a 2013 honor of Keselowski'€™s Checkered Flag Foundation.
