Keating's Corner: Really, Big Ten?

Is it just me? Isn't it time that someone pounds a desk and screams, in that snarky tone that only college kids can muster ... "Really? Seriously???"

Am I the only one who can count to 12 and cares about it being, ya know, 12?

I'd like to believe the institutions of higher learning that make up the BIG TEN believe that getting something right is pretty important. Aren't there counting classes at some of these schools?

It was one thing when Penn State became the orphan who needed a home and the conference let the Nittany Lions sleep on their couch for awhile and decided to keep the Big Ten name because it had been around forever.

And have you seen the price of ordering new business cards to be printed? Scandalous.

But when Nebraska got the invite and the Ten/Eleven became an official Twelve, that's when they'd re-think the whole "we were off by one
