It was quite a night for Greg Kampe and the Oakland University men's basketball team.

They upset No. 7-ranked Tennessee, 89-87, on the road for the program's first victory over a top-10 opponent and only the second against a ranked team.

Kampe, in his 27th season as the Golden Grizzlies coach, woke up early this morning -- after arriving home after 1 a.m. -- to talk with the Dan Patrick Show, which can be seen on FOX Sports Detroit.

"On Saturday we had a chance to beat Michigan State and we didn't do it," Kampe said on the show. "We lost by one. I was ready to go hang myself.

"I didn't hang myself Saturday, so I can't get too excited about that, but it was a great, great night for Oakland.
