Kaley Cuoco marries tennis pro in New Year's Eve ceremony
How's this for starting the new year with a "Big Bang"?
Kaley Cuoco -- the 28-year-old blond bombshell who plays, well, a blond bombshell on the popular TV sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" -- got hitched on New Year's Eve to her fiance, tennis pro Ryan Sweeting.
The actress' rep has confirmed the news, but the real proof came from Cuoco herself, via a post on her Instagram account several hours ago. The caption read, "Yep :) #thesweetings @ryansweething," and the image was of Cuoco and her man kissing:
We know what your next question is: "Ryan who?" Don't worry, only tennis insiders would know much about Sweeting. According to the ATP World Tour site, the Bahamian-born American player has a singles ranking of No. 667, and his highest ranking since turning pro in 2007 was No. 64. For now, at least, he's best known as Mr. Cuoco.
Cuoco and Sweeting, 26, have been engaged since Sept. 25, but they've been dating for only about six months. According to US Weekly, the lovebirds were wed in a romantic ceremony at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Southern California.
An insider tells the magazine that the wedding got a late start, around 10 p.m., and that Cuoco wore a "petal pink Vera Wang gown."
It may seem like a bit of a whirlwind marriage, but the actress has been open about her feelings for Sweeting. "From Day One, I just knew immediately and it's been magic," she told Entertainment Tonight. " ... I kind of feel that I've known him my whole life."
