In a move that could have cost him the District of Columbia's electoral votes, Jon Gruden confused one attractive black woman for another attractive black woman during Wednesday night's Orange Bowl.
You might have missed it because it came in the second half of the West Virginia - Clemson beat down.
Be honest, the only reason you were watching was to see how many points West Virginia ended up scoring too.
As announcers Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Gruden attempted to make small talk, the following conversation occurred when Clemson held up a picture of Michelle Obama:
Gruden: "There's Lisa Salter..."
Tirico: "No, it's Michelle Obama."
Gruden: "I thought it was Lisa for a minute. (Laughter) Look at that, the first lady gets her own play."
You know who isn't laughing? Gruden's political operative who had the DC electoral votes in the bag for his 2024 presidential campaign.
