Jerry waited to hang Super Bowl banners
ARLINGTON, Texas — Cowboys Stadium opened in 2009 but Jerry Jones waited until this weekend to hang the five Super Bowl banners that the Cowboys franchise has won.
The five white sheets with blue writing now hang above the east endzone.
During his pregame interview on 105.3 The Fan [KESN-FM], the Cowboys owner and general manager said he always wanted the banners hung in the rafters but he wanted to make sure they were "proportionally designed" to "look good."
He was not clear about why that process took three years.
"We have a lot of space in this place," Jones said. "We want to be very careful about what hangs in here."
