Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray had only carry in the second half on Sunday after sustaining a left foot injury in a 31-29 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. An MRI on Monday determined that Murray sprained his foot and suffered ligament damage but no broken bones. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Tuesday that he is encouraged by the results that Murray's sprain was not more serious. "I regret that we're not going to have him against Carolina, which looks obvious," Jones told 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. "But I'm encouraged that we're going to have him as we move along. He's playing outstanding. As you saw and we all witnessed there, he's an outstanding runner. He's going to get better and better." Cowboys starting cornerback Morris Claiborne had an MRI on his left knee on Monday. The results were not released but Jones is optimistic about Claiborne playing against the Panthers on Sunday. "As I saw it yesterday, now we didn't do much yesterday, as you know, they just really reported to look at (injuries)," Jones said, "I'm expecting Claiborne to play."
