Jensen, Banda win D-backs' minor-league honors for June

PHOENIX -- Reno Aces first baseman Kyle Jensen and Mobile Bay Bears pitcher Anthony Banda are the Arizona Diamondbacks Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month for June.

Jensen, 28, hit .292 with eight doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 39 RBI for the Triple-A Aces. Jensen will represent the Pacific Coast League in the Triple-A All-Star Game.
Banda, 22, was 3-0 without allowing a run in 20 innings for Double-A Mobile, striking out 23. He was promoted to Reno on June 26 and lost his first start for the Aces. Banda will pitch for the U.S. at the MLB All-Star Futures Game at Petco Park.
Other nominees for June included Reno pitcher Silvino Bracho, Mobile outfielder Gabriel Guerrero, Visalia infielder Marty Herum and pitcher Bud Jeter, Kane County outfielder Grant Heyman and pitcher Keegan Long, Hillsboro first baseman Justin Chigbogu and pitcher Kirby Bellow and Missoula shortstop Jasrado Chisholm and pitcher Rafael Pujols.
