DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) United Arab Emirates captain Amjad Javed claimed 3-25 to help his side restrict Sri Lanka to 129-8 in the Asia Cup T20 on Thursday.
Opener Dinesh Chandimal top scored for Sri Lanka with 50 and his fellow opener Tillakaratne Dilshan added 27.
They helped the side get off a strong start by adding 68 runs but Javed inspired UAE to claw back into the game.
Javed claimed three wickets in three consecutive overs to reduce Sri Lanka from 68-0 to 89-3.

Pacers Mohammad Naveed and Mohammad Shahzad then took two wickets apiece to finish with identical figures of 2-27.
