Japan enjoys 3 more wins at speedskating World Cup

HEERENVEEN, Netherlands (AP) Japan continued to dominate the opening World Cup with three more women's victories on Saturday while the favored Netherlands was remained shut out of the gold medals after two of three days of speedskating.
Nao Kodaira won her second 500 meters of the weekend with another victory over double Olympic champion Lee Sang-hwa, while Miho Takagi won the 1,500, one day after leading the Japanese pursuit team to a world record.
To cap off another great day for Japan, Ayano Sato won the mass start when she held off Ivanie Blondin of Canada by .04 seconds.
