TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- A person familiar with the Jameis Winston code of conduct hearing says Florida State has pushed it back to Dec. 1. It was originally scheduled for the week of Nov. 17.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the university has requested that information on the case not be made public.
A meeting was held Wednesday after Winston family adviser David Cornwell formally requested a delay last week. Both sides can request postponements of the scheduled date for reasons that would have to be individually reviewed.
Winston is facing a university hearing to determine whether he violated four sections of the code of conduct -- two for sexual misconduct and two for endangerment. A former female student said he assaulted her in December 2012.
