Jaguars WR Shorts leaves practice with injury
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III left the team's first training camp practice with a tight hamstring.
Coach Gus Bradley says trainers pulled Shorts for precautionary reasons late in Friday's two-hour workout.
It's the latest injury issue for Shorts, who missed most of organized team activities with a calf injury and hasn't made it through a full season in three years. He missed six games with a hamstring injury in 2011, missed two games because of a concussion in 2012 and sat out the final three games in 2013 with a groin injury that slowed him all season.
He says "things are going to pop up. It's football. Things happen. I'll continue to take care of my body. If I'm able to practice (Saturday), I'm practicing."
