JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed tight end Gijon Robinson and released fullback Naufahu Tahi, who left the team Friday for what coach Mike Mularkey called "personal reasons."
Mularkey spoke to Tahi after the team's morning session and said the sixth-year veteran left the team in what was a "family decision."
Robinson spent three seasons (2008-10) in Indianapolis, where he played in 39 games. He has 31 receptions for 240 yards and a touchdown in his career. He spent the 2011 preseason with Detroit before being waived in final cuts.
Robinson gives the Jaguars an extra body at tight end, where backup Zach Miller opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list.
