Jaguars RB Robinson says he has sprained MCL

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without running back Denard Robinson for several weeks.

Robinson, the backup to T.J. Yeldon, said Monday he sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in a 23-20 win against Miami. Robinson left the game following a 9-yard run in the first quarter and did not return.

His injury leaves the Jaguars (1-1) thin at the position. Toby Gerhart missed the first two games with an abdominal strain. It's unclear whether Gerhart will be able to practice this week and play at New England (2-0) on Sunday.

The Jaguars expect to get cornerback Davon House back this week. House played with chest congestion Sunday, left the game with dehydration and couldn't stomach any liquids afterward. He ended up spending the night in a local hospital for treatment and observation. He was released Monday morning.
