JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles is planning to play Thursday night against Tennessee despite a sprained right foot.

Bortles took part in a light practice Tuesday and says his foot is feeling better. He adds that he expects to play: "That'll be the plan unless they tell me otherwise."

Coach Gus Bradley says Bortles is progressing "a little bit faster than we thought" and is "cautiously optimistic" he will play.

Bortles wants to be in the lineup for the final two games, saying "unless there's something really, really wrong with you where you can't play or you're hurting the team, you should go play."

Bortles has 10 touchdown passes and an NFL-high 17 interceptions this season. He has been sacked 46 times.
