Jackets face must-win situation in Calgary

Columbus entered a five-game road trip looking like a playoff team. Now they have to be wondering where it all went wrong.

The Blue Jackets have lost their first three games (0-2-1) and will be looking to salvage the remainder of their time away from Nationwide Arena when they travel to face Calgary tonight at 9 p.m.

Columbus began the road swing on an all-time high, posting an 8-1-1 record in its last 10 games and winning a franchise record six straight games on the road, closing to just two points shy of playoff contention.

Since that time, however, the wheels have come off.

The Blue Jackets gave up three third-period goals, including the game-winner with 95 seconds remaining, to Nashville Sunday before blowing two shootout leads at top-seeded Vancouver Tuesday, losing in eight frames.
