COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS TRIM ROSTER TO 23 PLAYERS Jackets assign D Tim Erixon to AHL’s Springfield Falcons and C Boone Jenner to OHL’s Oshawa Generals 
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman Tim Erixon to the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons and center Boone Jenner to the Ontario Hockey League’s Oshawa Generals, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Today’s moves put the club’s roster at 23 players. 
Erixon, 21, is a former first round pick of the Calgary Flames who was acquired by the Blue Jackets from the New York Rangers during the off-season. He has tallied 4-20-24 with 34 penalty minutes and a +4 plus/minus rating in 34 games with Springfield this season. Jenner, 19, was the Columbus’ first pick, 37th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft. He has racked up 30-20-50, 30 penalty minutes and is +13 in 34 games with Oshawa. 
The Blue Jackets open the 2012-13 season on Saturday when they visit the Nashville Predators. Game time from Bridgestone Arena is 8 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 7:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Columbus Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station WWCD 102.5 FM in Columbus, and online at BlueJackets.com.
