COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ANNOUNCE CANCELLATION OF REMAINING PRE-SEASON GAMES
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the remaining 2012 pre-season schedule, including four games that involved the Columbus Blue Jackets. The cancellation of the schedule was necessary due to the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
The four affected Blue Jackets games are: Monday, October 1 vs. Washington Capitals; Tuesday, October 2 vs. Buffalo Sabres; Friday, October 5 at Carolina Hurricanes; and Saturday, October 6 at Buffalo Sabres. The club’s first four pre-season games, along with the Kraft Hockeyville game vs. Toronto in Stirling-Rawdon, Ontario, were cancelled on September 19.
