On August 6 and 7, eight prestigious clubs from across Europe and the United States will call South Florida home for two days as they compete for the coveted International Champions Cup Trophy. We continue our preview of the International Champions Cup participants this week by taking a look at AC Milan.

The Italian club is one of the Europe's most prestigious and popular teams, having won 18 Serie A titles, seven UEFA Champions League Titles and four world club titles.  Their seven European titles, puts them second to only Real Madrid, whom they might face in the final rounds at Sun Life Stadium.

Milan most recently finished 3rd in Serie A last season, and made it to the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions league before being eliminated by FC Barcelona.

Milan is led by striker Mario Balotelli, a member of the Italian national team, who came over from Manchester City in February of this year.  Though injured during the 2013 Confederations Cup, Balotelli will participate in the International Champions Cup.

AC Milan's roster also features Colombian defender Cristian Zapata, Brazilian forward Robinho and Kevin-Prince Boateng, a midfielder from Ghana.

AC Milan begins its quest for the International Champions Cup Trophy by facing Valencia C.F. in a game that will be played at Valencia's home ground of Mestella.  This upcoming match will mark the first time that the two clubs have ever met, and will also be the only International Champions Cup game held outside of the United States.

There is also the possibility that AC Milan may face their biggest rival, Inter, during the International Champions Cup in the second round in New York.   The two teams share a stadium, San Siro, in the city of Milan.

Milan is managed by Massimiliano Allegri, who led the team to the Serie A Championship in his first year with the club.
