Inciarte on DL with concussion; Campana recalled from Reno
PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks have placed outfielder Ender Inciarte on the 7-day concussion disabled list and recalled outfielder Tony Campana from Triple-A Reno.
Inciarte, 23, suffered a concussion Thursday night in Houston while stealing second base in the third inning. As he was sliding into the base he was struck in the head by Astros shortstop Jonathan Villar's knee. Inciarte remained in the game until being removed prior to the sixth inning as a precautionary measure. Inciarte has appeared in 34 games for the D-backs and is hitting .205 with four stolen bases.
Campana, 28, is getting his second stint with the D-backs after making the Opening Day roster. He played in 23 games, hitting .160 with four stolen bases, before being optioned to Reno on May 2. He was hitting .286 with seven stolen bases in 33 games at Reno.
