* Mark Arcobello scored his second goal in overtime and the Edmonton Oilers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night. Edmonton went on the power play after Florida's Scottie Upshall was called for tripping 32 seconds into the extra period and Arcobello rifled a slap shot from the left circle that got past Florida goalie Jacob Markstrom 1:23 later. Florida has lost six straight and nine of its past 10. Read More

* Playing without Chris Bosh, the Miami Heat defeated the Toronto Raptors 104-95 for their first road win of the season. Miami (3-2) lost at Philadelphia and Brooklyn during the opening week. Bosh was in Miami following the birth of his daughter on Monday. LeBron James led the way with 35 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Read More

* LeBron James reached his latest milestone in signature style. James scored a season-high 35 points, Dwyane Wade had 20 and the Miami Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 104-95 on Tuesday for their first road victory in three tries this season. With a putback dunk at 2:31 of the first quarter, James became the fifth player in NBA history to score 10 or more points in 500 consecutive games. Read More

* After a spectacular rookie season, Marlins right-hander Jose Fernandez was named a finalist for National League Rookie of the Year and NL Cy Young honors on Tuesday night. Fernandez went 12-6 with a 2.19 ERA in 28 starts before being shut down with an innings limit in mid-September. He recorded the second-lowest ERA in the majors. During 10 second-half starts, Fernandez went 7-1 with a 1.32 ERA, best in the big leagues. Read More

* The NFL Players Association said it will insist on a fair investigation for all involved in the Miami Dolphins harassment case, including suspended guard Richie Incognito. The league is investigating the relationship Incognito had with teammate Jonathan Martin, who left the team last week because of emotional issues. Incognito was suspended indefinitely by coach Joe Philbin for his treatment of Martin. Read More

* Richie Incognito said "this will pass" when confronted by a Miami TV station Tuesday, two days after the guard was suspended indefinitely by the Miami Dolphins for conduct detrimental to the team. Incognito was approached by FOX affiliate WSVN 7 while he walked out of a doctor's office in Weston, Fla. Read More

* Florida's teams are well-represented among the Baseball Writers Association of America Rookie of the Year finalists, as announced Tuesday. The Tampa Bay Rays have two players nominated for the American League award, outfielder Wil Myers and right-hander Chris Archer, and right-hander Jose Fernandez will represent the Miami Marlins on the National League side. * If there were a way for Florida to go back and erase the first 5 minutes, 41 seconds of Saturday's game against Georgia, it would race to the delete button. That is how little time off the game clock it took for the Gators to fall behind by two touchdowns in a 23-20 loss to the Bulldogs. * A football player in Central Florida has been arrested and charged after
police say he had a small knife in his waistband during a football game
Friday night. Trevante Taylor, 18, a senior who plays running
back and linebacker for Lake Weir, was arrested after a student saw the
knife and told the school's principal about it, according to a police
report obtained by FOX Sports Florida. Read More

* Once the University of Miami football team landed back in South Florida from Tallahassee following a 41-14 rout to Florida State, it purged the result from its system. Despite dropping from No. 7 to No. 11 in the BCS standings following their first loss of the season, the Hurricanes remain in control of their Atlantic Coast Conference fate. Miami holds a one-game lead in the Coastal Division. Read More

* University of Miami sophomore running back Duke Johnson had surgery performed on his right ankle on Monday by Dr. Lee Kaplan at the UM Medical Center, according to head athletic trainer Vinny Scavo. Read More
