* Florida State has signed men's basketball coach Leonard Hamilton to a contract extension through the 2016-17 season, the school announced Wednesday. School administrators wanted to give Hamilton an extension after the 2011-12 season but were not able to due to budget reasons. Read More
* Martin St. Louis was named an NHL Second Team All-Star at right wing, the league announced Wednesday. St. Louis, 38, was voted to the second team for the fourth time. Read More
* You could say John Kundla was the original author of the three-peat. He coached the Minneapolis Lakers to titles from 1952-54, making them the first NBA team to win three championships in a row. Since then, only two other NBA coaches have won three straight, and Pat Riley isn’t one. Read More
* Florida State football fans have always struggled with the volume of cupcakes on the schedule. But the past seven months have seen a major shift in the scheduling philosophy. While the non-conference schedule is full through 2015, Florida State officials are planning beyond that and are trying to book opponents and venues. Read More
