PALMERSTON North, New Zealand (AP) The Hurricanes scored five second half tries Friday to collect a bonus point from a 41-6 win over the Western Force in Super Rugby.

Hurricanes captain Dane Coles, returning from injury for his first match of the season, scored the only try of the first half as his team overcame tenacious defense and handling errors to lead 10-3 at halftime.

The Hurricanes produced a series of long-range raids against the Force defense in the second and it eventually buckled, yielding five more tries in the space of 20 minutes.

After Peter Grant cut the lead to 10-6, fullback James Marshall, scrumhalf T.J. Perenara, lock Blade Thomson, center Ngani Laumape and flanker Ardie Savea scored tries which clinched the Hurricanes' second straight win after they opened the season with two losses.
