Hulk Hogan on War Machine incident: 'He's lucky it wasn't Ronda Rousey'

Well, at least Hulk Hogan knows Ronda Rousey is a woman, unlike Floyd Mayweather.

The WWE superstar was asked his opinion on MMA fighter War Machine's alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend Tuesday by X17 Online and quipped about the UFC's women's bantamweight champion.

"He's lucky it wasn't Ronda Rousey," Hogan said in the video. "He would have been in trouble."

War Machine, a former UFC fighter who most recently competed for Bellator MMA, was arrested by U.S. Marshals last week in their investigation of the alleged assault of Christy Mack, War Machine's adult-film star ex-girlfriend. Mack said in a statement after the Aug. 8 incident that she has 18 broken bones around her eyes, a broken nose, missing teeth, a fractured rib and ruptured liver.

War Machine, according to Mack, also cut her hair off with a knife and attempted to rape her, but could not perform. She fled the scene, fearing for her life and was rushed to the hospital by a neighbor. War Machine, whose real name is Johnathan Koppenhaver, was apprehended Friday by U.S. Marshals at a hotel in Simi Valley, Calif.

"No, that's not a good situation at all," Hogan said. "That's not cool, brother."

The Rousey line wasn't the most sensitive from Hogan, but it was way better than what "Sons of Anarchy" star Chuck Zito said, insinuating to TMZ that Mack deserved to be beaten if she was cheating on War Machine. Zito later apologized.

Mack said in her statement that she was in her Las Vegas home with another man, reality star Corey Thomas, when War Machine barged in. Thomas was also allegedly assaulted by the fighter.

War Machine is being held without bail on seven felony charges.
