Howard, Pippen, Melo star in new Chinese film
Dwight Howard left Hollywood this offseason for .... China?
The Houston Rockets' center, along with New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, star in the new Chinese film "Amazing" about a virtual reality basketball video game.
But this was no secret mission for the NBA stars. The league announced in 2010 it was teaming up with Shanghai Film Group to produce "the first NBA-themed motion picture outside of North America."
The film premiered at the Shanghai International Film Festival last week is set to hit theaters in China on September 30.
No word if it will make it to America, but maybe that's a good thing.
The highlights in the trailer show Howard in an Orlando Magic jersey. He has changed teams twice since.
"Kazaam" and "Like Mike" might be more amazing than "Amazing."
