Hour-long Indians Live pregame show this Sat. to include Doby statue ceremony

SportsTime Ohio to showcase Larry Doby statue unveiling ceremony during special hour-long Indians Live pre-game show this Saturday, July 25th at 6:00pm.

This Saturday, July 25th, Larry Doby will join Cleveland Indians greats Bob Feller and Jim Thome as the only players honored with a statue at Progressive Field. The Tribe will unveil the statue of the seven time All-Star during a special ceremony starting at 4:45pm. Doby was the first African American to play in the American League and the 2nd to become a Major League Baseball manager. Members of Doby's family along with Jim "Mudcat" Grant and Indians Owner Paul Dolan will be in attendance.

SportsTime Ohio will feature the ceremony in a special hour-long Indians Live pre-game show, beginning at 6:00pm.

The Indians take on the White Sox with first pitch at 7:10pm. For fans heading to the game, the first 12,500 through the gates will receive a replica of the statue that will stand outside the Right Field Gate at Progressive Field.
