Hoke picks up more 2013 verbal commits
As far as Brady Hoke is concerned, the earlier the better.
After signing what Scout.com ranked as the nation's No. 4 recruiting class for 2012 earlier this month, the Michigan football coach is again attracting early commitments.
Much of this year's recruiting class had committed before Hoke ever coached his first game for the Wolverines.
That trend has continued after no less than six players -- all with the potential to be four-star recruits -- made verbal commitments Saturday to be part of the Wolverines' 2013 class. It gives Michigan nine commitments already.
The latest players whose decisions were confirmed Saturday by Scout.com include:
* Wyatt Shallman, a defensive end from Detroit Catholic Central.
* Chris Fox, a offensive lineman from Parker, Col.
* David Dawson, an offensive tackle from Detroit Cass Tech.
* Jourdan Lewis, a cornerback from Detroit Cass Tech.
* Kyle Bosch, an offensive tackle from Wheaton, Ill.
* Taco Charlton, a defensive end from Pickerington, Ohio.
They join earlier commitments from quarterback Shane Morris (Warren, Mich.), safety Dymonte Thomas (Alliance, Ohio) and tight end Khalid Hill (Detroit).
Official letters of intent can be signed on February 6, 2013.
